As part of a special package aimed at helping redundant army personnel under the `Options for Change` policy, the Ministry of Defence Housing Task Force is offering a special savings plan for military personnel saving towards their own homes whereby £1 will be contributed towards every £3 saved. The Housing Minister highlights the future role of housing associations for helping redundant service personnel. Gives details of the `Do-It-Yourself Shared Ownership` scheme aimed at potential first-time buyers.
