In Rignall Developments Ltd v Halil , ChD 10 March 1987, it was held that Law of Property Act 1925 s198 did not exonerate a vendor of freehold land which he knew to be subject to a registered local land charge from making full and frank disclosure of its existence notwithstanding a contractual provision deeming the purchaser to have knowledge thereof.
