This article discusses the findings of a survey on the effect of aircraft noise on both the housing market and residential property values . Instead of canvassing home owners, realtors and appraisers in 35 suburban communities near Chicago`s O`Hare International Airport who were knowledgeable about the market and property transactions were surveyed.
