"London General Holdings Ltd v Kingston upon Thames Nominees Ltd" ChD 1 December 1992. L, a tenant, claimed a declaration against its landlord that the rent had not been reviewed as from May 1991. L`s increase proposal had been met with silence from the landlord which was presumed to be acceptance. When, therefore, a much larger rent demand was presented by the landlord`s assignees in July, several weeks after the date of review, L challenged it in the courts. Application refused.
