A new statutory code to make common repairs and maintenance of Scottish tenements fairer, is being put out by the Scottish Law Commission for public consultation. The paper suggests changing the procedure where different owners in a block have to agree unanimously that repairs are necessary and proposes that a majority decision should be binding.
