In Blatherwick (Services) Ltd v King CA 28 November 1990 it was held that a term in the lease providing for the recovery of a service charge was a term "related to property other than the dwelling-house" within the meaning of Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 s10(1) and accordingly his liability to pay the service charge was not extinguished by that section when his tenancy became a statutory tenancy .
