Changes to the rules governing exemptions to the requirement for farmers to have farmed land for two years before setting it aside under the Arable Area Payments Scheme will affect all land acquired from 28 July 1995. It is intended that the current `60 hectare` and `10%` exemptions will be withdrawn and replaced by a new exemption.
