The Government has announced details of the Uniform Business Rate poundage for 1990/91. There are also fears that rate rises could cause a slump in the property sector, and the National Federation of Self-Employed and Small Businesses warns that the combination of property revaluation and the uniform business rate, could lead to disaster for small firms.
