In "Clark & another v Chief Land Registrar and another"; "Chancery plc v Ketteringham" CA 5 May 1994 it was held that registration of a caution to protect an interest in registered land merely gave the cautioner a right to be given notice of any proposed dealings. It did not entitle the cautioner to assert priority of his interest over a subsequently registered charge.
