Energy efficiency: the new NHBC standards and good practice

As energy efficiency becomes more desirable in the construction of new houses , this article looks at problems which have come to light regarding rain penetration in houses constructed with cavity walls with full or partial thermal insulation , and suggests ways in which these can be remedied. Pays particular attention to the new NHBC standards which come into effect on 1 January 1992.
