"Heatley and another v William H Brown Ltd" QBD 28 October 1991. The defendant surveyors were found to be negligent in failing to advise purchasers of a property that the property required extensive repairs and that in fact the value of the property was only site value. Damages were determined as the difference between the value of the property as described in the surveyor`s report and the value as it should have been described.
