Discusses research on tenant placement in shopping centres and the relative location of retail outlets within shopping centres. This involved a long observation study of 250 shopping groups which revealed that shopper circulation tends to be limited to a small section of the shopping centre. In addition it shows the key customer-attracting role of flagship stores and the benefits to be gained from locating comparable outlets in close proximity. References.
