Concern over poor rural planning control - 1990 - Times 28/8/90 p6 .

A report by the CPRE , NHTPC and ADC claims that the lack of effective planning control s is allowing farmers to erect buildings, lay roads, tear up trees and hedgerows and to hire out their land for non-agricultural purposes. It also calls for the exemption of farmland from normal planning controls to be abolished.
