The Chancellor of the Exchequer has announced various changes to the Government`s valuation services including a project team under Treasury leadership which will investigate how best to set up consistent and compatible databases for each of the Government`s main property estates; the contracting out of valuation work; charging for work done by Government departments and the takeover of the Treasury`s Rating of Government Property Department by the Inland Revenue .
