Aves, A.M.

Precedent in planning decision-making - 1991 - Journal of Planning and Environment Law 1991 JPL 923-929(4) .

Discusses whether previous decisions of a local planning authority, or the SoS or his inspector, are material considerations for the purposes of Town and Country Planning Act 1990 s70(2). Planning permission is often refused for a proposed development on the grounds that if permitted it would be a precedent for further development of a similar nature elsewhere in the locality.
