In Greenwich LBC v Powell and another , QBD 8 December 1988, it was held that a site remained " a caravan site providing accommodation for gypsies " and thus not a protected site within Mobile Homes Act 1983 s5 although the occupants led a nomadic life only seasonally and regularly returned to the site as their permanent residence for the greater part of the year.
