QBD 31 January 1991. Vendors of a property claimed that their surveyor was guilty of negligence and misrepresentation by advising the vendors to accept one purchaser`s offer and not giving a competing purchaser a reasonable opportunity to offer a higher price. This, so it was maintained, caused the vendor to lose out on a greater sale price. The claim failed.
