In British Tissues Ltd v Salisbury Hamer Aspden and Johnson and the Shepherd Gilmour Partnership High Court, the plaintiff brought a claim against a firm of surveyors / valuers and a firm of consulting engineers alleging that it had acquired a leasehold property, in reliance on the surveyors` initial and full reports and had subsequently found defects which should have been found on inspection and reported to it. The case examines rules with regard to payment into court .
