CA 11 October 1991. The appeal was made by the executors of S, the late defendant and tenant in a notice to quit case. S had claimed that his Case E notice was invalid by reason of a severance of the reversion. S in the meantime died and a Case G notice was served. Dispute over the legitimacy of the notices was decided in favour of the landlord (L), and upheld by the CA.
