- 1987
- Building Design no 846, 24/7/87 p14 .
The case of D.Landau and Sons Ltd v The Hind Woodhouse Partnership , March 1987, concerned the building of a warehouse which was subsequently flooded. The judge held that the plaintiff`s failure to employ surveyors was not such as to absolve the defendants ( architects ) of all liability . However there was some degree of contributory negligence on the part of the plaintiffs in failing to have a professional survey and this contributed to the floods and the damage caused.
