Wiring for the intelligent office

Catt, R.

Wiring for the intelligent office - 1992 - Valuer (ISVA) 61(2) March 1992, 12-13(2) .

Examines the importance of wiring in modern commercial buildings. Suggests that wiring needs should be carefully assessed at the design stage as they affect the functional plan of buildings. Modern technology calls for flexibility with the need to move staff and equipment around at short notice without causing too much additional expenditure. Vail Williams "Occupier`s View of Business Space in the 90s" shows that modern technology and the increase in the use of information systems has stretched many buildings beyond their capacity.
