RICS quits Hong Kong - 1996 - Estates Gazette (9628) 13 July 1996, 39(1) .

The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, formed in 1984, will take over RICS responsibilities in the territory. The decision is in line with Chinese policy, however the HKIS will not be able to award chartered status.
