An emergency programme to end homelessness and a mortgage rescue package for home-owners facing repossession has been proposed by the Labour Party, with a multi-million pound National Housing Bank as the centrepiece of their housing policy. The RICS says that there is much in the policy which deserves support but a number of the proposals are impractical or need further thought.
