QBD 11 April 1991. G challenged an SoS decision to grant the MoD planning consent for the erection of military antenna masts, against the advice of an independent inspector. The latter of the three grounds for objections were dismissed as irrelevant once it was accepted that the SoS had the right to disagree with the inspector on the first, and thus overturn the council`s ruling.
