In "Estates Gazette Ltd v Benjamin Restaurants Ltd and another" CA 25 May 1993, held that an obligation imposed on the assignee of a lease and his surety to `pay the rent ...` was not limited to the period during which the lease is vested in the assignee but extended to the whole of the remainder of the term of the lease.
