In " Kent CC v SoS Environment and another" QBD 12 May 1994, the protection of environmental interest and preservation of character of conservation area taking precedence over safety considerations was decided as being significant in relation to an application by Kent CC to demolish and reconstruct two bridges. Held, K`s application as highway authority, to quash the decision, refused.
