Bulgaria`s economic problems would be eased by foreign investment which currently is not forthcoming. Despite stability, and new-found liberalism, its privatisation policy and moratorium on debt servicing are obstacles to new finance. The attractions and problems of the Bulgarian marketplace are weighed in this article.
