Church Cottage Investments Ltd v Hillingdon LBC LT 18 August 1988 concerned a claim for compensation for refusal of planning permission for construction of four self-contained flats in the roofs of existing blocks of flats. The claim was made under Town and Country Planning Act 1971 s169 on the basis that the proposed development was within para 3 of Schedule 8 of the Act.
