In "Armstrong and Holmes Ltd v Holmes and another", ChD 17 June 1993, it was held that once an option to purchase land was registered, a later potential purchaser from the grantor was sufficiently warned by the registration of the option; additional registration of the contract of sale resulting from exercise of the option was not required.
