CA 20 November 1991. Concerned with the right of way over a footpath shown on Devonshire CC Definitive Map as footpath no 6. In 1987, Devon CC made a Map Modification Order under s53(2)(a) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and purported to show 750m of the path as a bridleway. CA held that the Definitive Map is conclusive of rights of way as shown until revised by a Modification Order.
