Measures to revive the private rented sector , expand the role of housing assocoations and bring greater choice to council tenants are set out in the Housing Bill. The Bill makes provision for four initiatives: deregulation of new private sector lettings; reform of housing association finance; creation of Housing Action Trust s and right for council tenants to choose a new landlord.
