Agricultural land for development

Troup, A.

Agricultural land for development - 1987 - House Builder 46(5) May 1987, 20-22(3) .

The authors argue that housebuilders wishing to develop farmland should take account of the tenants` interest, identifying not only land quality and farm viability, but the type of occupation. If this is neglected and a strong objection raised, chances of obtaining planning permission are lessened. The author identifys the different types of occupation and advises on the problems. Contains guidelines which housebuilders should adopt when negotiating for agricultural land for development.
