A recent Lands Tribunal test case has awarded freeholders and leaseholders 50:50 split of the marriage value. It was the first case of its kind under the Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 to be referred from a Leasehold Valuation Tribunal to the Lands Tribunal.
