Anthrax outbreak stalls construction - 1996 - Times 22 July 1996, 9(1) .

Fears over an anthrax outbreak have been raised as spores of the bacteria have been disturbed on a farm in Wiltshire resulting in the death of three cattle so far. Work on a major housing development has been halted as concern is expressed that soil disturbance could release more spores thought to come from buried hides near a former tannery.
