The Agricultural Tenancies Act 1995 came into effect on 1 September. Initial interest appears to be on short term lets and an increase in farm size. However, the Farmers` Union of Wales has reservations as to the effect of the legislation; particularly on new farmers, rent levels and contract terms. The NFU has set up a service to offer guidance on the regulations.
