In "R v Wandsworth LBC ex parte Beckwith", QBD 11 April 1995, it was held that a local authority had a duty to provide accommodation for each of the six classes of person referred to in National Assistance Act 1948 s21, as amended by the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990, and had not discharged its duty by providing for only one or some of the classes so defined.
