In Ashville Investments Ltd v Elmer Contractors Ltd CA 20 May 1987 it was held that a dispute between building owners and building contractors concerning an alleged mistake made at the time the contract was entered into, was within the scope of the arbitration clause in the standard JCT (July 1977 revision).
