Tenancy gives personal right - 1989 - Times 11/10/89 p43 .

In London City Corporation v Bown CA 9 October 1989 it was held that a non-assignable periodic tenancy gave the tenant a mere personal right to remain in possession of the premises and was not "property" capable of passing to a trustee in bankruptcy of the tenant under the Insolvency Act 1986 .
