In "Hounslow LBC v Pilling" CA 22 February 1993, a letter to H as landlord by one of two joint tenants seeking unilaterally to determine a secure tenancy did not entitle H to a possession order against the other joint tenant who was also entitled to protection under Protection from Eviction Act 1977 s5(1). Monk decision considered. Appeal by defendant allowed.
