A draft revision of PPG8 seeks to reconcile the expansion of telecommunications and resistance to unsightly equipment by granting permitted development rights for apparatus on buildings below 15m and for radio equipment housing and allowing more than two antennas on ground-based radio masts while also introducing changes so that applications for approval for the siting of masts, radio equipment and public callboxes must be made.
