"Southern Water Authority v Nature Conservancy Council" HL 16 July 1992. The water authority was not liable for damage to a SSSI under Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 s28 because only an occupier could be prosecuted under this section; the water authority entering the land only for a short time to carry out operations was not an occupier.
