Rent reviews and fitting out
Rent reviews and fitting out
- 1993
- Estates Gazette (9307) 20 February 1993, 105(1) .
Takes "London & Leeds Estates Ltd v Paribas Ltd" (ABS47880) as a focus of discussion on the assumption at rent review that premises are fitted out for immediate occupation. Clauses containing this assumption were introduced after the 99 Bishopsgate case to preclude claims for rent free periods to cover fitting-out at rent review. Though the principle is widely accepted, the mechanisms for its implementation are encouraging litigation.
FITTING OUT
LONDON & LEEDS ESTATES LTD V PARIBAS LTD
