A `controlled` future for minerals waste - 1993 - CS Monthly : Minerals bulletin 2(6) March 1993, 6-7(2) .

Mine and quarry waste has hitherto been excluded from the catagory `controlled waste` as defined by the Control of Pollution Act 1974, but as these provisions are to be superseded by the Environmental Protection Act 1990, a redefinition becomes possible. This article describes the implications of such a change.
