The Government has announced that increasing resources would be targeted on housing the homeless , through the Housing Corporation `s rising capital expenditure programme. Local authorities under the greatest pressure to provide housing for the homeless will also receive extra funding and a thousand new bedspaces in hostel and housing association accommodation will be provided.
