The RIBA has adopted Professor Peter Smith`s radical energy manifesto as policy and is imposing a duty on RIBA members to persuade clients to become environmentally friendly. They will be expected to encourage clients to use environmentally friendly benign materials and to employ energy-efficient specification and construction .
