In Palmer v Bugler , QBD 9 November 1988, it was held that car boot sales held on field sites, regularly used for that purpose on Sundays, and to which they gained admittance on payment of a fee, were not neccessarily carrying on a retail trade or business so as to contravene Sunday trading legislation.
