Compensation for unknowing pollution - 1992 - Financial Times 25 November 1992, 15(1) .

Substantial damages have been awarded against a tannery, which polluted a water aquifer. Although the tannery, which could not have foreseen the pollution, was not found negligent it was liable in nuisance. This award could highlight the dangers of liability in nuisance for insurance companies.
