"MoD v Ashman and another" CA 1 April 1993. At issue was calculation of mesne profits between the date when the wife of a serviceman was asked to vacate and the date when she did leave, having been rehoused by a local authority. Held that the plaintiff could base calculation on the market rental of the accommodation and not necessarily on the concessionary rent charged. Remitted to CC to make calculation on the basis of the value of the use of the property to the wife.
