In EC Gransden & Co Ltd v SoS Environment and another , 24 October 1986, the CA refused to quash an earlier decision by a judge in the QBD who did not quash an inspector`s decision on a planning application. The CA decided that the inspector had correctly interpreted and applied the policy in DoE circular 22/80.
