CA 18 March 1993. P, the respondents, were landlords who had granted R a tenancy of at least one year in Nov 1990. In the following November, notice was given of a new assured shorthold tenancy of six months minimum. P served R notice to quit in May 1992, and was awarded possession by the county court. R appealed claiming the date of termination was incorrect, and that the notice did not conform to the requirements prescribed by the Assured Tenancies and Agricultural Occupancies (Forms) Regulations 1988. CA agreed.
